The Photograph
Taken in a light box at F2.8, 1/100 SS, the tulips were in a jug with a strong dark coloured pattern around the base which detracted from the flowers. I took the image into Photoshop and changed it into mono, and then drew a mask around the flowers and the top of the jug. I then created blur around the rest of the image so that the only part of the image in clear focus were the tulips themselves and the parts of the jug protected by the mask.
