The Photograph
This lighthouse sits on the shore of New Brighton, Merseyside. Building commenced in 1827 and took three years to complete. It shone brightly protecting the guiding shipping up the R. Mersey until it was decommissioned in 1973. During foggy periods it could be heard for several miles as it ensured safe passage for those mariners. It was taken as the sun was setting.
