We were sitting having our lunch on a bench in Grasmere Village Green when I spotted this character across the green. He was looking very deep in thought whilst he was standing next to a bench which had the memorial inscription ‘In Loving Memory’ on it. I thought the two elements went well together. In reality, he was merely waiting for the Keswick bus!
